Vayable: An “AirBnB” for Tours

Sommaire

We all know AirbnB is great because it mix lodgings and meeting local people. Now, Vayable presents the same concept, but for tours: Take a tour, with a local! Tadaaa! Isn’t it great?

What’s Vayable?

It’s a website to book tours and experiences with local people. You choose where you want to go, and you’ll have access to offers made by insiders who want to make you discover their home town, in their own way.

It’s perfect if you want to go off the beaten path and discover some hidden gems.

Near San Francisco, there’s some unique tours such as doing light graffiti, taking a walk to explore street art, … or hunting mushrooms (because why not).

Not finding what you are looking for?

No problem! What’s great with Vayable is that you can request a customized experience based on specific thing you want to discover. There’s more than 5000 insiders ready to help you find exactly what you are looking for in their town. For this service, the price starts at 49$ per day of the itinerary. Pretty accessible if you’re thinking of a one-day tour you’ve dreamed of!

Vayable, get off the beaten path

Hey! I could show my town too!

Yes you can! If you’re in love with your home town, have an idea of a tour and want to show it to the world, you can list yourself as an insider. A funny way to make extra bucks doing what you love! Think of it… if you were a tourist in your home town, what would you love to discover?

Every insider is verified so you can trust them. (I tend to trust people with funny profile picture. I can’t help it.)

Vayable insider

I’m not an insider in Montreal yet, but I’m really thinking about it!

If you want to book, use my code WNUDGM to get a 10$ in credit. (I get 10$ too. Win win!)

Note:  This is not a sponsored post, I just think that’s a very good idea! Also, I didn’t try this service yet, but I’ll keep you posted as soon as I do! Did you try it?

This is a really cool idea! I’d be interested to know though, if the tours are actually any good. It’s easy to make something sound cool and look cool online, but the real challenge is whether everyday people can deliver what they are selling. What do you think? I’d be curious to hear how it goes if you try it.

You are right! But there’s a review system with every tour so you can read comments from other travellers. It’s a good start to know if the tours and the insider were good.

June 8th I always love the idea of hanigng out with a local, but as I travel on a budget this just isn’t an option. Which is where I would stick to counchsurfing. However, if you are into more luxury travel then this would be an awesome way to meet someone who can show you around for the same price as staying in luxury accomodation alsmost like an added extra.
